Terrorist Financing Webinar
In partnership with Nasdaq Verafin, Jessica will be sharing her knowledge and expertise on terrorist financing trends and issues on a panel. You can register for “Terrorist Financing Detection: Tools, Tactics, and Real-World Solutions” here. The webinar is on 21 January at 12:30 pm EST. Don’t miss out!
In the Media
Jessica gave a media interview for the Financial Times on Binance’s compliance woes. You can read her comments here. Her thoughts on the issue of noncompliance on crypto exchanges can be summarized succinctly with this quote: “…part of the problem with the fines is that we’re just talking about so much money being made on these platforms that even a billion-dollar fine becomes fairly meaningless.”
As always, we published our latest Global Terrorist Financing Report, highlighting major developments from the past month.
Illicit Money Update
Good news! Jessica’s publisher for Illicit Money also recently announced that the book is going to be published in paperback format. We know some of you have been put off by the price (especially outside of North America), so hopefully this version will be a bit more affordable. We’ll be sure to share details when it’s released.
