Tomorrow, January 27, marks the 4-year anniversary of the Jolo Church Bombing. The attack at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jolo, Philippines claimed the lives of twenty people and further injured 102 others. The bombings were carried out by an Indonesian couple and organized by the Hajan Sawadjaan-led faction of Abu Sayyaf. The Jolo attack was the first suicide bombing in a string of violence in the Philippines from 2019 to 2021.
